These Indi earrings are inspired by the indigenous people of southern Colombia. In several drawings embodied by the Inga and Kamentsä in the chumbes, (sash that protects the female belly) the drawing of the sun appears repeatedly; in their language, Indi means sun. For this reason we wanted to design earrings to represent the sun importance. In this design, the metallic part represents the sun, the triangle with its rays illuminating the day.
Measurements: The earrings measure 3.1 cm long by 9.5 cm high.
Material: The metal pieces are handmade in bronze and are plated in 24K matte gold. The top of the earrings is hypoallergenic stainless steel. The weaving of beads is carried out by the Inga-Kamentsä indigenous people of Putumayo, a department in southern Colombia.
